LAMISECURE
Laminated Glass is a type of safety glass that holds together when shattered. It is produced by bonding two or more layers of glass with an interlayer, typically made of polyvinyl butyral (PVB) or ethylene-vinyl acetate (EVA). This interlayer keeps the layers of glass bonded even when broken, preventing the glass from breaking into large, sharp pieces and significantly enhancing its safety features.
FACADE / INTERIOR
Features:
Enhanced Safety: Laminated glass is designed to stay intact when broken, reducing the risk of injury from sharp glass shards. The interlayer holds the fragments in place, making it an ideal choice for safety-conscious applications.
Sound Insulation: The interlayer provides excellent sound-dampening properties, making laminated glass an effective solution for noise reduction in both residential and commercial settings.
UV Protection: Laminated glass can block up to 99% of harmful UV rays, protecting interiors from sun damage and reducing the risk of fading for furnishings and fabrics.
Security: Offers increased resistance to penetration, making it more difficult for intruders to break through. This makes laminated glass suitable for use in windows, doors, and storefronts where security is a concern.
Durability: The interlayer enhances the overall strength and durability of the glass, making it resistant to impact, harsh weather conditions, and even minor explosions.
Applications:
Architectural Facades: Ideal for building facades, skylights, and curtain walls where both safety and aesthetics are crucial.
Windows and Doors: Commonly used in residential and commercial windows and doors to enhance security and safety.
Automotive: Widely used in automotive windshields to provide safety and noise reduction.
Railings and Balustrades: Used in glass railings and balustrades for its strength and ability to remain intact upon impact.
Interior Design: Popular in interior applications such as partitions, staircases, and floors, providing both safety and a modern aesthetic.
